I finally looked for paper airplane instructions. My girls and I started talking about it last weekend, but I didn’t have an Internet connection until Friday. Here’s our project for tomorrow: The best paper airplane in the world. 10:12:41 PM    

I love this book! It should be required reading for every new programmer.

I first heard about it from Robert. I bought it two months ago but I just got back to it after our move.

I love Chris’ writing style. He follows Joel’s # 1 writing rule. But unlike me, I think Chris figured that rule out on his own ;-)

I almost forgot. We watched a pair of prairie dogs fight. They kept pushing dirt clogs at each other. Then they turned around and threw loose dirt at each other. Then they got up on their hind legs, put their paws in the air, and squeaked at each other. It was a riot and the highlight of our visit. But apparently the prairie dogs take these disagreements more seriously. 8:25:34 PM    

My youngest daughter turned four today. She wanted to go to the zoo. Fortunately it was a beautiful day for it. Unfortunately it was a beautiful day for it. Everyone in Omaha was there ;-)

We made the mistake of trying to see the new Desert Dome just a couple months after it opened. It ended up being an hour long wait in line. We’ll go back and try the Desert again in the fall when the crowds die down. It should be a lot of fun then.

If you are ever in Omaha, do yourself a favor and check out the Henry Doorly Zoo. It is an amazing place. And if it is cold and rainy outside, don’t let that stop you. You can spend an entire day indoors. In fact, that is where most of the cool stuff is anyway.

I’m going to start documenting the features I want in my dream news aggregator. Then I’ll start building it on top of the great work that Joe is doing. 2:18:46 AM    

We moved recently. I’m glad that’s almost over. I still have a lot of work to do but I can now see the light.

I figured since I was uprooting the rest of my life I might as well move my weblog to its permanent home. That ended up being a lot tougher than I expected. Radio sure has a lot of rough edges...

I decided it was time to do a little remodeling while I was at it. I borrowed Joe’s excellent Radio Theme and now I have a much cleaner site.
