Proposition-based Collaboration in Concept Map construction: Knowledge Soup
Knowledge Soups are a mechanism that allows users to collaborate in the construction of individual concept maps. A Knowledge Soup on a particular topic is a collection of propositions from the various participants building concept maps on that topic. Users never see concept maps that are built by other users, but collaborate through shared propositions within the Knowledge Soup. Knowledge Soups have many applications:
- Collaboration by a group of students: Soups are particularly suitable for collaboration among a group of students who are building maps on a particular topic. The students can be from the same classroom, or from different classrooms in the same school, or from different schools that may be located in different regions or countries. Each student (or group of students) builds his/her own concept maps and collaborates with other students or groups only through sharing and viewing propositions in the Knowledge Soup. (A student never sees concept maps built by others). The larger the number of students the richer the collaboration.
- Collaboration by groups of scientists or other professionals: By accumulating the propositions from all participants, the Knowledge Soup becomes an aggregation of the knowledge of the participants.
This section explains how you create knowledge soups, derive propositions from your concept maps and share them with other users.

That sounds a lot like the way developers are using weblogs...
Knowledge Soup...sure is a catchy name ;-)

Ok this would be just as cool as The Brain...

Yeah and Keith didn’t get around to posting his DevCon slides and code yet. Bummer.
